If you are using your TypePad blog as a website then perhaps you will want to move the blog off the front page. You may want to have the front page be a static page that tells your visitors who you are and what you do.
Click on the Settings tab. Locate Posts & Pages in the left sidebar and click on it. Scroll down until you see the section shown here. Click on DIsplay a 'page' and select the desired page.
